What is a Jail Summit?

Spark Training’s annual Jail Summits are award-winning correctional training and continuing education events tailored for correctional nurses and officers. Led by a panel of expert instructors, these in-person Summits offer an affordable and engaging training experience for sheriffs, jail administrators, correctional nurses, and other professionals in the corrections industry. Each Summit also fulfills in-service training requirements for continuing education credits and offers all attendees valuable opportunities to network with peers, industry leaders, and vendors.

Solve Problems and Make Lives Easier

The first-ever Jail Summit was held in 2011 to address the need for affordable, high-quality, compliance-focused healthcare education.

Spark Training has taken years of feedback from Jail Summit attendees to address major cost and compliance issues like retention, suicide prevention, and officer wellness, in addition to healthcare. Our partners include experts in medical, behavioral health, operations, and compliance, with an average of 20 years’ experience in their fields. Jail Summits are designed to give attendees the tools and corrections training they need to solve problems and make lives easier.

Engage in Collaborative Problem-Solving

Jail Summits are an opportunity for participants to engage in discussions and offer their own thoughts, critiques, and challenges. Unlike traditional training events, each of our sessions are tailored to the individual needs of those who attend. Our corrections experts know that jail solutions are rarely one-size-fits-all. We focus on providing actionable solutions that address real challenges faced by the attending facilities. Our experts are committed to working with participants to develop strategies that fit their unique needs and goals.

Earn Continuing Education Credits

Our Jail Summits doesn’t just provide valuable insights—they also help meet mandatory learning hours for correctional professionals. Last year, Spark Training awarded nearly 50 continuing education hours across four different states. We partner with state boards and governing bodies to ensure our materials are peer-reviewed and compliant with regional training standards.
